Railroad Ink is a nice roll and write, but I imagine it would be a lot more annoying with a physical copy. You aren’t just writing a number in a box, you’re drawing railroad tracks and roads. It’s that alone that would get me to stray away.
However, the game worked really well. There are just enough complications to make your choices difficult and the scoring allowed for a decent amount of strategies. If you’re a fan of roll and write titles, you’ll definitely enjoy this one. I’d like to try some of the different variants/expansions that are possible, I just really think the detail required in drawing the routes would keep this off my table.
Thanks, as always, goes to Overboard Games for hosting the stream, organizing the play times, and (potentially) building the mods.
