Where I’ve Been
This post has been a long time coming, but I wanted something substantial to exist before finally putting it out. Which is why it’s been 5 months of nothing. Well… nothing here that is.
Family
Those that follow me on my Twitter will know that I had a second child in June. Those that have children know that summers are horrendous time sinks where nothing productive happens. So from June through August we existed as a new family, adjusting to the change until my first child would be old enough to start school and I would go back to my teaching job.
Meeple Mountain
While summer sped by and I struggled to find any personal time, I managed to submit a few of my writings to MeepleMountain.com. I was then accepted as a contributing author. I didn’t have a lot to write as I had absolutely no time to do anything. But the position was there for when summer ended.
Drako 2 and Zona
Summer saw two massive projects for us, both from Rebel z.o.o. Drako 2 and Zona required complete translation and localization of all components. Drako finished sometime during the summer, but Zona didn’t end until only a couple weeks before Essen Spiel. Any free time available was poured into finishing these projects, leaving very little time to think about anything else.
Where I’m Going
This site isn’t going anywhere, but there won’t be many reviews or articles hosted directly here for the foreseeable future. It’s time to spread out and get my words onto sites that have an audience. All future writings that show up on this site will simply link to their hosted page.
Writings
Here are the four writings I’ve managed to find time to work on since the end of May.
- Top 6 Board Games that Scratch the RPG Itch
- Magic Arena: The Best Way to Play the Worst Magic
- AI in Board Games – A Preview of Beyond Humanity: Colonies
- Adrenaline Review – Family Fun Death Arena
More will be coming, especially now that Essen Spiel 2019 is over and I came back with many great games to discuss. Keep an eye on the front page for links to all future content.
Editing
We are in contact with a few companies to work on editing future games. If you are a publisher seeking an editor, check out our Services page to learn more about what Tabletop Polish can offer you.
